There has never been a story like yours, so why should you have a wedding that’s already been done? I believe that the day you get married should be about the two of you; in your favourite place, with your favourite people, doing your favourite thing. Imagine a day that you don’t want to end, is stress-free, and is in a place you feel the most comfortable. Now imagine you get married that day and can relive those moments through photographs for years to come.
How you get married MATTERS because your relationship matters. If you can dream it, I can help you make it happen.
It is easy to get caught up in what everyone has always done, but whether it’s only the two of you or includes your closest family and friends, an elopement should be the sum of your relationship and the things that fill your soul.
To celebrate, wouldn’t you want to have the best day of your lives?
First of all, it is very common to have guests at an elopement. However, the great thing about this idea of eloping, is that it is expanding the bounds of a wedding and getting married. If getting married is a celebration, why limit that to one day? Maybe you want to say your vows on a mountain top, but have a backyard dinner with your family. Maybe your family lives in different parts of the world; you can have several celebrations. The world is your oyster! Whatever your situation, there is a scenario that is a win-win for everyone, and I can help make that happen.
Perfect! You’ve come to the right place.

and I am your new biggest fan! I love good stories, the people that tell them, and exploring beautiful places. It’s crazy to say that I have been shooting weddings in Beautiful British Columbia for 8 years, and I love how every wedding I photograph feels unique and beautiful in its own way. My favourite part of the day is whenever someone tells a heartfelt story (usually through vows or a speech), and I often reflect on how lucky I am to be in a room of so much love.

Yes! I travel all over North America (including the USA) for weddings and other sessions, and am up for lots of adventures around the world if you want to take me there.
The short answer is yes of course! The long answer actually directs a question back at you; will having your family and close friends there uplift your experience and make it even more memorable, or will it stress you out and make you feel uncomfortable? Your answer will determine what you should do.
YES! Not only will you get a VERY comprehensive guide to help with this, you’ll also get my personal guidance tailored to your needs. I know this part can be very overwhelming, so let me take the load off of you so you can focus on the fun parts!
ABSOLUTELY. There is no mountain high enough and no valley low enough that I wouldn’t trek across for your elopement or adventure session. If you want a beautiful adventure but don’t know exactly where to go, I have tons of awesome suggestions!
An adventure session is basically a fun adventure that also involves taking some photos in an epic location. This might be the day after your wedding in your wedding clothes, or maybe for your engagement photos before you get married. It could involve a hike in the mountains, a helicopter, a canoe ride, a trip to some hot springs, or snowshoeing in the outback. Regardless, it’s awesome, and I recommend them to everyone!
Ahh the dreaded question we all have to face when planning an elopement. There are many factors that contribute to my answer, but overall I ask each couple how they feel about weather scenarios. Based on that we think of a plan B whether it be a different location, time of day, extra equipment (aka an umbrella), or sometimes it means getting married the day before or day after if it’s in the forecast. Whatever the problem, it’s just something to solve, and I am here to help!
Guess what, you’re not alone! Most people I photograph have some sort of fear of being in front of the camera. Even after all my experience photographing others, when the camera is pointed at me, I don’t know what to do. It is my responsibility that you feel comfortable and confident during a session or on your elopement. I will give you guidance and direction when needed and hopefully you’ll forget that there is a camera even involved.
To be honest, it chose me. I’ve travelled to a number of places, and while they are beautiful, I always feel most alive and my truest self here in BC. I grew up in Greater Vancouver, but I also lived in Alberta for almost 6 years for school, work, and met my husband, Mitch, there as well! It meant lots of road trips across both provinces and I was able to appreciate the beauty of the mountains and prairies.
Elopements have given me the gift to explore more of the west coast and rocky mountains than I would have on my own accord. The sound of the surf crashing on the beach in Tofino, the smell of the mountain air in Whistler, and the sight of the wildflowers in Manning Park; they all speak to my soul in a way that makes me feel at home and at peace. If you love the idea of visiting BC and don’t know where to start, you can visit Hello BC and start exploring all that this province has to offer!
