Fast facts about myself:

  • I am extroverted, specifically an ESTJ on the Myers Briggs scale. I just love people!

  • I have a degree in Business and have an avid interest in marketing & economics. I also took a minor in Psychology and enjoy exploring concepts in social psychology.

  • While most people have an enthusiasm for coffee, I am really into Neapolitan pizza & I make delicious pizza pies often with my wonderful Gozney pizza oven. Fun facts about it: it heats up to 950°F, it’s portable, and it cooks a pizza in just 90 seconds!

  • Because my dad was born and raised in Michigan (also where my parents met), I am a dual citizen and have an American passport. I have never lived in the US of A but I travel and work there often!

  • My personality is very narrative-driven. I LOVE a good story and get engulfed in them very quickly. This applies to movies & TV shows, books, and the life stories of people I meet.

  • I am truthfully not very good at spelling, but thankfully there is spell check and I am a photographer, not a writer/editor!

  • I will pretty much do anything to get great pictures. So far I have climbed mountains, waded in rivers, stood on cliffs, been soaked in the rain, driven sketchy roads, respectfully trespassed, and probably other things that I can’t currently recall.

What makes me different?

I know that there are so many photographers out there, and many of them are super awesome! However, here is what makes me stand out:

  1. I care A LOT about you and your experience.

You are not just another client that helps me pay the bills. Every wedding I am a part of means so much to me, and I do everything I can to make sure your photos represent your truest selves. Did you know that even after photographing over 150 weddings, I still get nervous before each one? Because I know that this day will be engraved forever in your memories, so I want to do everything I can to make it the best day possible.

2. I’m a great problem solver.

As my mom always says: a problem is just something to be solved! Plans rarely happen as we hope, so I am always thinking of plan B, C, & D, just in case. So when something comes up, I am ready to provide alternatives and help couples be mentally prepared for when things don’t go as planned. Bad weather? - let’s have a back up date or back up location. Short a vehicle? - you can ride with me! I’ve dealt with more reschedules than I can count, broken down vehicles, torrential downpours, upset stomachs, ripped dresses, and of course late arrivals. I’m ready to help you with anything that’s thrown at you!

3. Relationships are super important to me.

My goal by the end of a session or elopement is to feel like we are good friends who would feel comfortable enough to tell each other when the other has spinach in their teeth. I tend to be a curious person, and I love asking about you, what brought the two of you together, and bonding on our similarities so I feel very lucky that my interactions with clients make me forget that I’m working; it feels like I am hanging out with awesome new friends. While taking photos is important, it matters more about how you feel during the day, and wouldn’t it be easier if you felt like a friend was taking your photos?

More than anything I am fulfilled by my amazing couples who share their story and intimate moments with me, and I’d love to tell your story as well!
